Welcome to Fantail River Lodge, a beautiful property set on two acres of native bush and gardens. We are set up for an easy getaway; providing clean and comfortable accommodation for our guests. Whether you’re here to explore the beautiful Bay of Islands or just getting off the grid, we’re sure you’ll thoroughly enjoy your stay with us and leave feeling refreshed.
Take a stroll down through the gardens – home to many native New Zealand birds, including Fantails, Kingfishers and Moreporks – and you will find yourself on the banks of the Waitangi River.
We are conveniently located on Puketona Road, only a 10-minute drive to Paihia centre, 20-minutes from Kerikeri and 10-minutes from Kerikeri Airport. If there’s anything we can help you with, please just let us know. We look forward to welcoming you to the Fantail River Lodge soon.





OUR ROOMS
Each of our three rooms has been carefully designed to ensure our guests have a stress-free stay. Two are purpose-built rooms situated in a separate pavilion, with their own entrance and outdoor seating areas. While The Loft is a pet-friendly, chalet-style, self-contained unit complete with an outdoor deck, BBQ and seating area. Click below to find out more.
THINGS TO DO
The Bay of Islands offers a wide range of activities for all sorts of visitors. We are happy to help book any tours for you through the local providers as we can often get you a discount, plus you may be able to be picked up from the gate. There's plenty of things to do and see here, just take a look through some of the wonderful options below.
